Castello della Zisa is located in the capital city of Sicily, Palermo. One can admire the muqarnas vaults, fountains and latticework windows. These works epitomise the Islamic Art.
A wind chamber in the castle provides protection from the hot winds of Africa. The castle has three floors and every room on the floor has wall niches. One can also come across a museum in the castle, where rare Arabic crafts are displayed.
The lattice wooden screens and bronze basin belonging to the 12th century can also be seen here. The marble and mosaics can be seen in the architecture and interiors of the castle. Commonly used tool and brass furniture are also the highlights of the museum. For reaching the castle, one can take a bus or train from the Piazza Castelnuovo area.
