The Old Market or Phsar Chas have many shops selling paintings, carvings, prints, souvenirs, silver work, baskets and musical instruments. There are silk farms and traditional workshops as well. Superior quality items can be found in boutiques and specialty shops.
Other shopping areas include the Centre Market and Angkor Market that sell food and alcohol, souvenirs, trinkets and clothes.
Art and craft collection is on display at the Khmer Ceramics Centre or the McDermott Gallery. Artisans d'Angkor is a very popular workshop with tourists.
US Dollars and Thai Baht are widely accepted in Siem Reap and in the rest of Cambodia.
