The Angkor National Museum preserves things related to the Angkor kings and pre-Angkor times. The Angkor Wat in miniature is yet another attraction of this museum. The Cambodian Cultural Village has a wax museum of historical figures and the replicas of Cambodian style houses. Traditional performances also take place at the site. The Cambodia Land Mine Museum and Relief Centre are popular destinations too.
The Tonle Sap Lake draining out into the Mekong Delta presents a sight for visitors during the rainy season as the lake swells to its brim. Floating villages can be seen then. The Silk Farm and West Baray Lake near the airport and the Koulen Mountains with their waterfalls are other popular attractions.
Siem Reap has many markets. Psar Chaa is known for its souvenir shops. It is also a place for sampling Cambodian food like soups, Prahok, baguettes, frogs and pork.
