A visit to the Bukit Batok Nature Park is a section of a forest with pathways laid throughout the park area. These pathways reach points in the park as high as 100 feet that provide views of the greenery.
The park was reclaimed from the site of an abandoned quarry. The undulating and meandering trail of the park is an attraction for hikers.
An interesting fact is that this very park was used by the Japanese to build a war memorial. A pair of pillars and about a hundred steps that end in a place holding the remnants of a wartime transmission tower tell a tale of a time past not so long ago. A tranquil pond at the entrance is just the spot to sit down for a breather after climbing up and down the park.
