Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat is situated just a few kilometres away from the historical park of Chaliang towards the south. The temple is quite large and it leaves a memorable impression on visitors. The doors of the temple are built with mother-of-pearl.
It is also known as the Wat Yai temple and is one of the most beautiful monasteries in Phitsanulok. It comprises of a walking Buddha and a huge pagoda dating back to the 15th century.
The monuments speak of the history and past glory of Thailand. There is a footbridge made of rope across the Yom River located nearby.
