Sydney has an extensive bus network and there are separate tourist buses. Bus stops are not numbered in the city and one needs to flag down the buses with an outstretched hand. There are two main bus terminals in Central Business District at Wynyard and Circular Quay. These are ten minutes walk from each other.
The red metro buses run between Leichhardt and Kingsford every ten minutes or so with no scheduled time table. They only accept prepaid tickets. Services are available from 5 am till midnight.
Priors Scenic Express and Greyhound Coaches operate long distance buses connecting Sydney to all major cities in Australia.
