A rocky island in Sydney Harbour covering an area of 13 hectares, Goat Island has served as a convict stockade, a seat of the water police, store for explosives, boat yard, a quary and a film set.
There are a number of tours to explore the island which once was an important source of sandstone. Some of the important historical relics of the place are stone chair of Charles Anderson, Queen’s gun powder magazine, Harbour Masters lawn, N-1 wharf, water rats roof, etc.
It lies off the shores of Sydney suburbs of Millers Point and Balmain at the junction of Darling Harbour with the main channel of Sydney Harbour.
Hi has anyone been to Sydney? How is the place and i am planning to visit in the month of November. How will it be over there at that point of time? And i am planning of spending on spending 8 days over there is it sufficient?
