The best time to visit the place is in the months of October and November, when the weather is mild and the skies are generally clear. The spring months of March to May are also a good time to visit Thimphu.
The weather of Thimphu is very similar to that of India. The summer months are June to August while the winter months are from December to February. The place receives most of its rainfall in the summer months.
