If you want to go shopping Robson street is the place you will get shoes,clothes,perfumes of every expensive brand on planet.If you want something you want to gift pepole go to gastown its easy on the pocket(i love yvr jerseys for $9.99 only).You can go to the mall at downtown vancouver for shopping which has again clothes,shoes and stuff.You can find artifacts by native american tribes at stanley park you can get miniature totem poles or a inukshuk (starting at $10 each).Granville island is another hunting place for shopers where you can get hats,jewellery made by locals and food (mostly meat). Vancouver is preety much all sightseeing you will be seeing and remembering for longtime to come.But places to watch out for is the Grouse Mountain,Capilano suspension bridge,Lynn canyon, stanley park,Granville island,vancouver pier(see all cruises bound to alaska),Gastown(steam clock goes every 15 min),vancouver public library,science world and vancouver art gallery.

Hiking is one of the prime activities you can do in Vancouver if you are a good climber you can hike the grouse mountain or you can opt for the famous Gondola ride like me at a nominal cost of $40.When you have managed to get up on grouse mountain you can see the world famous grizly bear and lumber jack show is a must watch.If you are in downtown you can get a sky train (tunnel) to waterfront station and see the Vancouver pier and Gastown which is just next to it.You can also get a sea bus from waterfront station to go to north Vancouver and see the famous lynn canyon where you can see the lynn canyon suspension bridge and twin falls.The hike to lynn canyon is scenic and manageable as i managed it then everybody else can.If you go to Gastown, don't forget to watch the steam clock it goes off after every fifteen minutes.Stanley park is another place where you can hangout its a beautiful park and a must watch again.What else you may do is go to Vancouver pier and say goodbye to all vacationers bound to Alaska.If you visit in the last week of July you should go to the beach for the famous celebration of light festival a spectacle which you wont forget for years to come.Its a competition of fireworks amongst countries which has been taking place in Vancouver for past 21years.The things to do are plentiful in Vancouver.Its exhilarating and quaint at same time.
