Wadi Rum does not have any hotels in its immediate vicinity. For accommodation, tourists can choose between camping and bed & breakfasts. Tourists can stay in camps and experience the desert culture. They can also stay in traditional Bedouin tents. The semi-nomadic Bedouin inhabitants residing in the desert serve the visitors in a cordial manner.
One can stay in the Government Rest House that is located at a distance of 6 km from the Rum village. The rest house offers mattress, camping ground, food and water.
One can also rent out a four-wheel drive jeep with a Bedouin driver for short or longer day tours of the area from the Rest House. Additionally, one can also avail camels for short excursions or desert trips. Tents for camping are also available in the Rest House.
Tourists can stay at the Government Rest House, where they are received by officials and are required to pay the entrance fee to the Wadi Rum. The Rest House has facilities like a restaurant, a camping ground, toilets and showers. Smaller tents are also pitched in Wadi S'Bach.
Due to the presence of varied accommodation options, there is generally no variation in prices. In case tourists are unable to get a room in the Rest House, they can opt for camping at various camping locations.
