| Colonial Cottage Museum |

The Colonial Cottage Museum is the oldest Cottage in Wellington. The cottage was built in 1858 by William Wallis, and has a typical Georgian style construction.
Visitors can take a tour of the cottage and learn about the lives of people in the colonial era and how the generals lived. The cottage is at a walking distance from the city centre.
Cottage tour and admission: $8 for adults, $4 for children (5-14 years). Under 5 years are free.
Timing: Open (12 February to 24 December):
Saturday and Sunday- 12 to 4pm
Special summer opening hours -(5 January to 6 February): every day 12 to 4pm
