Bird Watching

Wulai is counted among one of the best areas in Taiwan to enjoy bird watching. Tourists can indulge in bird watching at Neidong Forest Recreation Area and Tonghou Stream. Some of the birds that one can observe are Indian black eagle, river kingfisher, yellow-throated minivet and collared owls.

The best time for bird watching in these areas is from November to February. At this time, several birds migrate to this place from the river valley in lower areas.
