There are some 100 bus routes connecting different parts of Zhuhai. Bus services start somewhere between 5:40 am and 8:30 am and end between 5:15 pm and midnight.
There are also double-decker sightseeing buses which are air conditioned and have TVs.
Sightseeing Bus No. 1 leaves every twenty minutes and the route covered is Fenghuang Mountain Scenic Area, Dongkeng Park, Agricultural Scientific Academy, Meixi Royal Stone Archways Tourist Area, DreamWater City, New Yuanmingyuan Garden, Lanpu, Bailiandong Park, Lianhua Mountain, Jida and Jiuzhou City.
Sightseeing bus 2 offers services every 30 minutes and the route includes Dajinding, Zhuhai International Circuit, Pearl Land Amusement Park, Tangjia, Dieshi, Xiangzhou Port, Mingting Park, Zhuhai Fisher Girl Statue, Jiuzhou Port, South Qinglu Road, Gongbei Pass, Overseas Chinese Hotel and Jiuzhou City.
Zhuhai has plenty of taxis that serve almost every part of the city. The taxi fare in the city is more than that in interior areas. The taxis charge CNY10 for the first three kilometres and then CNY2.4 for each extra kilometre. CNY0.6 is added for every minute of waiting.
The Xiangzhou Beidi Port is the passenger port of Zhuhai. Public Bus No. 11 and 56 go to the port. Fast and slow ferry boats from Zhuhai connect other islands including Wailingding Island, Dangan Island, Guishan Island, Wanshan Island and Dong'ao Island.
Fast Ferryboats connect Xiangzhou Beidi Port, Wailingding Island and Guishan Island. This line offers services three times a day and the first boat departs from the port at 8:20 am.
The sections covered by slow ferry boats are:
- Xiangzhou Beidi Port- Dong'ao Island- Wanshan Island: the first journey starts at 8:50 in the morning on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and the return journey is on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Ticket price is CNY32 per person for the Xiangzhou - Dong'ao section and CNY20 per person for the Dong'ao - Wanshan section.
- Xiangzhou Beidi Port- Wailingding Island- Dangan Island: This route runs three times every week and the first journey starts at 8:40 in the morning on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
There are also the sightseeing ferryboats that offer cruises only for sightseeing.
