Alfred Escher is a bronze statue of the renowned politician and entrepreneur of Zurich, Alfred Escher. He was the founder of one of the largest banks and three of the largest insurance companies of Switzerland. It was crafted by Swiss sculptor Richard Kissling in the year 1889. Placed atop a fountain, the statue was sculpted from red-brown granite.

Has anyone been to Zurich? I am planning on my honeymoon in Zurich. How will it be? Is July a good time to visit Switzerland? And if anyone been there before please tell me about the romantic hotel there. What are the place we can go to in Zurich and what are the activities we can do in Zurich? How much will it cost in very good hotel there?

I am planning a Zurich vacation in the month of July 11'. We are visiting several other cities too. But on this trip, we are planning to cover only Austria and Switzerland. We have already decided to visit Zurich, Interlaken and Luccerne. And in Austria we are planning to visit Vienna and Salzburg. Can anybody tell me if this is a good plan or are there some more places we could cover during our 12 day stay here.
