Fraumunster was built in 853 by King Louis the German and is located in Munsterplatz. The construction was completed in 1217 and even today the architecture appears same as it was originally. This Gothic church unfolds the architectural excellence with its distinctive stained-glass windows.
These glass windows were crafted and designed by Marc Chagall and Augusto Giacometti in the recent past of 1970s. Furthermore, Fraumunster is believed to have the largest organ in Zurich.
The panoramic representation of the artwork is depicted by Romanesque choir and the high arched Gothic transept. Marc Chagall designed the rose window in the south transept (1978) and five-cycle window in the choir (1970).
The church draws visitors from all across Asia, South America, North America, Western and Eastern European nations. Tourists can get a better view of the church from the tower of the Grossmunster across the Munsterbrucke.

Hi,
I am planning a Zurich vacation in the month of July 11'. We are visiting several other cities too. But on this trip, we are planning to cover only Austria and Switzerland. We have already decided to visit Zurich, Interlaken and Luccerne. And in Austria we are planning to visit Vienna and Salzburg. Can anybody tell me if this is a good plan or are there some more places we could cover during our 12 day stay here.
