If we visit Bangkok in the mid December is it worth it? Can we friends have fun at that point of time? And what can we do over there and where all can we visit? And do we get any tour guides to show us the entire place?
December is the most popular time to visit Bangkok and the weather is often at its best, but remember the hotel prices will be higher as highest number of visitors arriving for a holiday in Bangkok owing to the more comfortable weather. If you do not mind this go ahead. In December month, it cools down, which reduces humidity and makes Bangkok a pleasant place to visit. Temperatures during this time average about 26°C/80°F. Normally Bangkok is very humid and during summer it is uncomfortable going around. Few of the important and must see places are 1) Grand Palace, 2) Wat Pho, 3) Wat Arun. There are many temples in Bangkao and each has its own grace. The above are a must see though. My personal suggestion is - do not miss A boat ride on the Chao Phraya River. We had been on this cruise/ride and enjoyed a lot. Evening trip is the best. You can see many temples glittering in the dark. A memorable experience indeed. Another important and must see attraction is - Siam Niramit show. It is in the evening time, very colorful and extremely good show. For shopping Chatuchak weekend market and Indra market are really good. There are many tour operators and it is better if you arrange for a tour agent in your country it self. I hope this information is useful.
Bangkok is enjoyable throughout the year. Days could be humid but as almost everything is airconditioned, so no problem in shopping or indoor activities. For visiting Grand palace, Wat Pho & Wat Arun, start early at 8 am. For river cruise better to do 1 day Ayuthaya trip by boat, but dn't forget your umbrellas. Evening dinner cruises are very relaxing but if you are on budget you can choose orange flag boat for a round trip from Central pier during sunset. For shopping, MBK is cheaper than Indra market, Chatuchak is for fun. If you want to splurge go to Emporium Mall . Street food is really delicious in Bangkok. Seafood pakoras are available under Saladeng sky train station. If you just want to relax hotels beside riverfront are ideal for stay. Normally guide is not necessary, go through internet for guidance.
