What are the places to go to in Brisbane? I am planing on my first International trip. So please help me with some do's and don'ts in the trip. Thank you
DO's If carrying specific medicines, carry prescription also. Keep luggage weight and size within prescribed limits. Carry umbrella preferably triple fold. Take stock of weather forecast before departing. Declare all the things you are carrying, while filling up immigration form.
DONT's: Do not carry any milk products even chocolates. Do not carry any food item. Packed namkeens etc. will do. However, if milk is written in ingredients, then it is strict no-no Your shoes etc. should not be soiled. Clean them well, even soles. Do not carry any liquor. (Variety is available in Australia)
IN AND AROUND BRISBANE: Lone Pine Sanctuary (for Kangaroos and Koalas) Giant Wheel (Brisbane Eye) Riverside South Bank Cultural Centre Kangaroo Point Maritime Museum Treasury Hall, Casino Queensland Parliament In fact just strolling around in Brisbane is worth. Enjoy the trip!!
Just forgot to add a few things. Carry sufficient Australian currency. Conversion from USD will be costlier. Avoid using credit cards. If you purchase items (to be taken out from Australia) worth AUD 300 or more from one shop then you will get Tax Refund under TRS scheme while departing from Australia. Preserve bill for the same and refund will be credited to your credit card account so keep card ready. If feasible then add Gold Coast and Sea World (in Gold Coast). It is worth. While on way to Gold Coast from Brisbane visit King's Opal factory outlet. Gold plated jwellery with Paua Shell work is available in Brisbane.
