Can you'll help me with an itinerary for a 5 day stay at Kuala Lumpur? I will be travelling with m husband and 2 children during the month of June. Please suggest places I could visit during my stay here.
Plan three days in KL and two days in Gentings highland. In KL, go for a city tour, a tour of Putrajaya ( take the boat ride showing the new city), and a dinner at KL tower revolving restaurant with fabulous views of city and Petronas twin toers. Walk through various malls and take a short ride in city monorail. In Gentings there is a lot for everyone. Indoor and outdoor rides and a round trip on seemingly unending cable car traversing above thick rainforest. Go ahead and enjoy with your kids. You can view three videos I had uploaded in International section under KL.to have some visual info on what to see there.
I think you may already have your Kl hotels booked,so will want to stick to day trips,so check out China town for food and shopping, its walkable. Petronas towers is a must and is free, but you have to get your tickets in advance. There is a big shopping plaza there as well with cinemas so your trip to get tickets wont get wasted. The lower Bintang area in a side street has a night restaurant area with street dining,if your into food. Cheauffer driven cars are a good way to get to see the outer areas, and are not expensive, your hotel reception usually has a rack of small cards offering these services from outside companies,NOT the hotels cars. There are heaps of good sites with all the places to see,so start Googling. Bon Yoyage! Its a safe town, even at night,so enjoy. Oh!! the taxi drivers have a really bad rep,so unless they will turn on their meter, tell them to buzz off,and keep hailing one till he will. The meter prices are cheap. If you get a driver who you trust, and uses the meter, get his card or phone # and use him all the time.
