The resort is located 20 km from Trivandram airport. The car as promised was waiting for us and the drive along the coast was beautiful. Check-in was very quick and we were given a ample sized cottage that had a beautiful view of the sea. The resort ambience is excellent with lots of coconut trees and a variety of flowering plants throughout the grounds. The restaurant serves a variety of food and the staff are very attentive and cheerful. Their breakfast spread was awesome. The pool is well maintained. They have a variety of Ayurveda wellness packages and there is an in-house doctor to recommend the right one in case you chose to take one of the packages. The beach is excellent, though the depth at the shoreline is also quite high and with the rocks around, one needs to be good swimmer to venture into the sea. The chef invited all of us for a short cookery course of two dishes at the resorts kitchen. I felt this was a nice touch. No special programmes during the evening, except to listen to the waves breaking on the beach, which is very restful, if you are looking for a relaxed holiday.

Worst Experience: They prepared the tandoori dishes in coconut oil, which was subsequently corrected upon our request

An excellent holiday indeed that one could expect over a long weekend. It was actually a \'Weisure\' - Work with Leisure - Shruti had a concert at Trivandrum on 16th August and we combined it with a nice Holiday.

Best Experience: Everyone at the resort is always ready to help with a smile - not the Plastic smile that normally greets at a 5-star hotel but a very genuine & warm smile, with a willing to help kind of attitude. They all just want to make the guests feel comfortable and at home. Excellent management and it shows all the way down from the front desk to the restaurant and house keeping. Restaurant at the resort normally closes at 9:30 PM for Dinner but when we mentioned to the restaurant manager that we might be late coming back from Trivandrum but would still like to have dinner at the resort, immediately special arrangements were made with a request to let them know our choice from the menu. The security guard posted at the beach - he was always there cautioning and keeping a vigil on our daughter who was playing on the sand and he did not move from that place until she came back.

Worst Experience: Nothing at all.

Awesomeness as its best!! the setting was superb with the ocean just about 100 or so metres from the resort..excellent service, great surroundings make coconut bay beach resort one of the best, if not the best resorts i have ever been to..

Best Experience: The staff is very pleasant, which makes the stay even more enjoyable..you can take quiet walks along the beach, or just lay back and relax on the beach beds..or you can always rent a bike and visit the surrounding beaches and cliffs (Oh yeah, there is one)..

Worst Experience: If I had one grievance, its the food...there are no nearby restaurants and I believe to go the vlosest one, you have to take an auto and travel for atleast 15 minutes or so...which kind of forces you to eat in the resort itself and the prices are a bit on the higher side..although its very safe inside the resort, once it is dark, it gets really tough to maneuver your way out..So folks who go out in the noon and evening, try to get some food from outside for dinner..
