its nothing to special i want to jast travel to dalhouse and visit to all dalhousi for my enjoyment

calm & peaceful .I, Dharmendra permanent resident of Faridabad Haryana but at present posted at Amritsar, visited dalhousie alongwith my wife 39yrs son 12yrs daughter 11yrs on 11march 2012 to 13march 2012. I hired an AC indica for 3 days in rs,6300(all inclusive).we left AMRITSAR at 8.30am on 11th march.crossed Pathankot at 10.30 am. reached Dalhousie at 2pm.Hotel Gitanjli near subhash chock dalhousie,is very old but its family room no.11 was very very spacious,very large bathroom,geyser working excellently, two double beds with two large & very heavy quilts and 4 blankets.we used all as it was very cold at night. room window offered exellent view of Dhauladhar mountain ranges. in the afternoon we visited panchpula & sardar Ajit singh statue.we proceeded to Dainkund but stopped at Dainkund border post by military person because route to kund was inacessible due to snow.Way to Kalatop wild life sanctuary was also closed due to snow.of course we enjoyed snow covered surroundings of dainkund nearhead.back to dalhousie strolled at market near ganghi chock.we had very good dinner at pure Vaishno restorent at Gandhi chock.on12th morning we proceeded to Chamba at 10 am.we took photographs at ROCK GARDEN near Bathri.We enjoyed Chamera lake view. Before CHAMBA we went to ravi river bed.pick some stones of different shapes,sizes& colours.enjoyed mesmerising sound of flowing Ravi river. Reached Chamba at 11.30 seen Laxmi narain temple group& Arya samaj ,Chogan ground etc. reverted to KHAJJIAR at 2pm & reached there at 3 pm. we had very good lunch at pure veg bhojnalaya. it was very hilarious ,exiting experience.A very cool & fast breeze was blowing there.horse riding rates are rs.150 per person for full circle of khajjiar.paragling at rs.500 & 300 for different distances. Even child can enjoy this .pond in the middle of khajjiar is not clean but whole view is charming.we left for dal at 4.30pm. reached at5.30 pm. we proceeded to Subhash Baobli that is 2 km. from GANDHI CHOCK.

Best Experience: 1.WE experienced snowfall 1st time in our travel life here on the night of 12th march 2011.Snow was every where at roads,on rooftops,on trees,on vehicles etc. 2. hotel room offerd exellent view of Dhauladhar range of mountains.I made advance booking on phone through HPTDC marketing office.I had to deposit rs.1200 ina/c of HPTDC SBI DALHOUSIE BRANCH.also E-mailed my detail .rate for family suite 4 bedded was rs.800/- per night.during check out I paid rs.400 and rs.160 as taxe(10% of 1600 for 2 nights & 3 days.).we left for AMRITSAR at 10 am.& reached home at 5 pm. you can contact taxi owner MR.PARAMJIT 09780534676 & DRIVER CHANDAN 09888480117

Worst Experience: 1.could not see bhuri singh museum at chamba as it remains closed on each MONDAY. 2.Could not see churches at gandhi chowk & subhash chowk Dalhousie as they open only on Saturday & sunday mornings.

visited dalhousie on 11 march 2012 with wife(39 age)son 12yrs daughter 11yrs.hotel gitanjli of HPTDC is very old but family room very very spacious .room no.11 offers exellent view of dhauladhar mountains.very cold at night.we used 2 quilts and 4 blankets.mr. rajiv caretaker is very cordial person.despite being old we felt at home. we hiard an AC INDICA from Amritsar to dalhousie,khajjiar,chamba & back to ASR 2nights 3 days in Rs.6300(all toll taxes,driver night allowances etc.inclusive.).you can contact taxi onwer mr. Best Experience: snowfall at night of 12march 2012. in the morning of 13thmarch we left at 10 am.we experiencrd snowfall 1st time.trees,roofs,cars,surroundings,snow was everywhere.route to kalatop sanctuary & DAINKUND was inacessible even before snowfall.YES,we could enjoy NEIGHOURHOOD OF DAINKUND border post despite snow covered road sides. on 12th morning we reached chamba at 12 am. after 2 hours journey.we proceeded for KHAJJIAR at 2pm. reached at3pm.had very good Lunch at pure veg vaishno restorent.very cold breeze was blowing there.we started at 4.30 pm. for dalhousie & reached at5.30pm.one must leave KHAJJIAR at 5 pm because there may be fog problem after that. dalhousie to chamba via rock garden at BATHRI,CHMERA lake ,ravi river point covers 56km.chamba to dalhousie via khajjir is 46 km.

Worst Experience: Bhurisingh museam at chamba remains closed on each monday.we could not see.

experience is very pleasant with regards to room service & cooperation.....good hotel....

Services are good but you have to take dinner by 9.00 p.m. otherwise if you order for Egg Curry , then you will get egg and curry separately . Rooms are very clean and specious .
