Assistant Vice President : Brand Marketing

Location : Bangalore | Reporting to : CEO Job Responsibilities:

• Develop a 2 year Brand Marketing road-map for HIQ
• Develop HIQ's detailed Brand marketing plan for 2012-13, primarily built on Social Media, Online Advertising, PR and other BTL activities leveraging HIQ's traveller community
• Identify & recruit relevant Partners & Vendors
• Work closely with Ad Agency & other vendors/partners to finalise execution plan
• Execute the marketing plan for 2012-13

Preferred profile:

• Very strong demonstrated execution capability
• Demonstrated ability to develop & execute impactful marketing initiatives at low cost
• Work Experience: 5+ years in brand marketing
• Prior experience in marketing an online brand would be a strong plus
• Prior experience in marketing an FM radio channel will also be an advantage
• MBA from a blue chip Business School in India or Outside

User Experience Designer

Job Responsibilities:

We haven't yet come across a designer who doesn't love vacations! But what does it take to design for travellers? If you are sufficiently user-centered in your thinking and have the design chops to consistently execute on a shared product vision then read on... The UX Designer will work closely with Product and Engineering teams and report into the Head of Design. HolidayIQ is a vibrant, open and flat organization hence a bigger emphasis on team-play and collaboration. You will be required to take independent charge of projects and execute them from concept to pixel-perfect specs, wireframes and sometimes functional prototypes.

We are a young company on a growth trajectory with enough to challenge you creatively. There are several product and brand initiatives for Web and across mobile devices to work on as long as you have a strong portfolio that demonstrates not just problem solving, design and prototyping skills but also showcases work that's visually and aesthetically outstanding.

Preferred profile:
Required:

• 3-5 years of experience designing for the web and preferably for mobile. Exposure to some amount of print design will be good. Should possess deep understanding of either Illustration or Typography.
• Advanced to Intermediate level skills in design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash (Optional). Knowledge of Axure RP would be a plus.
• Excellent in creating quality visual mocks, graphics and detailed design specifications.

Must:

• Possess a visually strong portfolio.

• Familiar with design research and usability practices.
• Ablity to skecth and articulate concepts and ideas well.

Preferred:

• To be a guru, but would appreciate an honest attempt at keeping up-to-date with latest trends in UX, front-end technologies, Web and mobile design.
• Knowledge of HTML+CSS.

SEM(Search Engine Marketing) Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for constant Pay Per Click campaign. optimisation including keyword research, adding new keywords.
• Negative keyword exclusion, optimising ad copies etc.
• Advanced analysis and reporting on PPC campaigns through Google Analytics.

Preferred profile:

Experience: 1 - 2 Years
Education: UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization

Functional Area: Online Marketing/Advertising, MR, PR

• Should have hands on experience of the PPC through Google AdWords & PPC through MSN/Yahoo interface.
• Must have search engine marketing (PPC marketing) experience with an emphasis on the technical/analytical skills required to improve campaigns
• Preferably Google Certified Adwords Professional (added advantage)
• Good skills in MS EXCEL [functions, pivot, vlookup & hlookup], knowledge of macros would be added advantage.

Technical Lead

Job Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be responsible for leading a strong technical team in architecting, design, development, unit testing, and release of online/web products in startup environment
• As a senior technical leader, the successful candidate will work closely with Management, Product Management, QA and Customer Support to maintain and enhance existing product as well as to architect the new products.
• He/She should have experience leading a strong technical team in the development of complex web portal with multi-components in PHP/OpenSource CMS or Web portal Technologies.
• The position demands excellent technical skills and knowledge coupled with strong leadership, planning, and management abilities.
• Knowledge and experience with Web/Open Source Technologies, PHP based Content Management technologies and experience developing engineering process is a plus
• Design/Architect of the existing platform and new platform to make it more scalable and extendible.
• Translation of complex functional and technical requirements into detailed project plans and schedules; manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team by defining, implementing and maintaining a coherent, progressive development strategy for our product line.
• Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle.
• Delivery of quality applications on-time and on-budget.
• Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.
• Evolution of the software engineering practice within the organization, including better reporting, tools, and evolution of development methodology.
• Work closely with the Product Management team to develop the best product design and approach for new product development.
• Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology. 14.Continue to build an effective development organization by driving the recruiting and hiring of senior level engineers, developing and managing the group, and conducting performance reviews of team members.
• Create and execute target oriented quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
• Drive and manage the bug triage process, represent development team in project meetings to ensure efficient testing and bug fixing process, and be an effective advocate for the development group.
• Report on status of product quality to management, customer support and product teams via rigorous execution of detailed plans and accurate reporting of test cases executed, bugs discovered, bugs fixed, etc.

Preferred profile:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience from Premium institutes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating.
• 6-8 years experience in Software development in PHP/Web Technologies and 2 years as Development Manager.
• Development Expertise in Apache/PHP, Drupal, CRM technologies is a plus.
• SEO, Social Media and/or Mobile Domain knowledge is an added advantage.

• Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume traffic web portal.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous demonstrated project management success on similar projects emphasis placed on experience with high-volume web portal.
