I am just back from a wonderful holiday in Mysore. I had booked two nonAC rooms in Aishwarya residency and the very moment I entered, I felt my choice vindicated. Right from Check in, I found the hotel staff to be very courteous, friendly and pleasing. The hotel is brand new and the rooms, bath, bed linen, curtains are very clean, just like those in a star hotel. TThey have a travel desk which you could use for local sight seeing or even you could hire autos which are plentifully available near by (bargain for some good deals). The staff and the service boys are very helpful. I bet would be the one of the best budget hotels in Mysore. I will definitely recommend this to anyone and look forward for another stay here.
Location:-The hotel is just a few meters away from the main KSRTC bus stand and close to most attractions like the market, zoo, palace, rail station etc. Though the location is so well within the city center, the hotel is located in a very quite lane. Having said all this, it is still a bit difficult to locate the hotel. Make sure you get the right directions.
Food: - The only setback was the hotel has no restaurant of its own. There is a room service where you can order your food from their extensive menu and will be served within 30 minutes from a different source. There is a nice open dining area in the terrace. However there are plenty of good hotels nearby (I would recommend the Ramani\'s taste buds). There is a coffee maker and a refrigerator (with soft drinks, packaged water etc) in the reception. I would suggest the management to have an in house restaurant in the terrace and even host a buffet, I am sure it would be a hit right the first day.
