Samode Bagh is a great getaway from Delhi (takes about four hours by road). It's good for many reasons, the main one being it's suitability for kids. If your kids are happy (and we all know that rates high on parent's agenda, esp on vacations) then you can relax, put up your feet and soak the sun (in the winters that is, summer Rajasthan heat is not exactly fun)
There's lots for kids to do - the property has sprawling lawns, some of which have a badminton net and rackets for you and your family to use.
Kids can run around, lots of space for that. If you go in a group, and try if you can because it makes the experience better, then you can take rooms next to each other and sit out in your little patio outside the room, chatting in your pajamas with steaming cups of tea.
Also, take your maid, if you are lucky enough to have a good one. They have decent quarters for them (though the rooms are a little far from where the guests stay, so if you have small kids and you want your maid in the middle of the night, this may not be possible, unless you put a mattress in your room for them)
The rooms are tastefully done up, fairly roomy, though not too spacious, but good enough for a couple with small kids (who would need extra mattresses since they won't fit on the bed, one kid can). But overall the rooms are clean and comfortable.
