It appears to have grown up randomly over the years and not all hotels have road access. The Drive-in-beach of Muzhappilangad is a beautiful stretch of beach in Kannur, North Kerala. This beautiful beach is 4 kilometres long and apart from local fishermen hauling in their catch and sea eagles circling above hoping for their share of the fish, the beach is just white sand as far as the eye can see. A feature of this beach (for good or bad) is the accessibility to drivers (hence its name) who sometimes practice on the beach or simply go there for fun. There are Beach Houses within walking distance at Edakkad where you can hire the jeep and driver. Drive along the four kilometre beach, skimming the waves. Aamazing experience. More » |
