The overall experience at the Rajvilas was superb... First the location, in a 32 acre property,... .. The overall experience at the Rajvilas was superb... First the location, in a 32 acre property, you can get lost almost! Finally on the checkout day, we had to request for a conducted cart tour! The grounds were superb and well maintained, almost to the point where the dried flowers on the manicured lawns added a touch of reality to the perfectly maintained grounds. And the freely roaming wild peacocks and other birds added a touch of romance to the entire place. The architecture and the facade merged into the Jaipur skyline, and transported us to ancient times. This was of course helped by the 18th centurty moat surrounded temple, which was the showpiece structure. More » « Hide

The overall experience was not so bad, although we had expected much more after the bumpy drive... .. The overall experience was not so bad, although we had expected much more after the bumpy drive from Udaipur airport. The view from the hotel was not so great, although the hotel had tried to compensate by good landscaping inside the property. The rooms were tastefully done, and the color schemes were bright and arresting. Food was just about ok, we were expecting much better Rajasthani fare! More » « Hide
