We visited manali in winter for the snow experience...and boy did we have one ! Snow all over...half melted and half unmelted in the walkways ! Slush ! But the place has awesome views depending where you saty...mornings were out of the world...we just had to pull the curatins for the Switzerland effect as we called...we were at the club mahindra resort ! Well on day one we were done with the visit to the Dalai Lama's place. While there, i walked into the local 'canteen' and to my surprise: the menu was mind blowing. Authentic Italian Pizzas, Open Sandwiches with Cheese not heard of in Delhi: if you like the food and dont care about the ambience..this was great. We had to wait for an hour to get some place to sit. This sort of awakened me to the nature of the place...something I had not read about.
