I used to hate matheran and still in some ways don\'t like it as you will come across some really... .. I used to hate matheran and still in some ways don\'t like it as you will come across some really rude and cheat horsemens, cart pullers etc, the market is just a spread of 5 minute and there is nothing extraordinary to buy from the market but for those who want to relax without being disturbed in this eco friendly atmosphere this place is best, I would suggest all HOTEL BYKE at matheran as the property is sprawling a 7 acre with independent cottages and with very good surroundings, the service is good, the staff is polite at service or reception, the food is YUMMY, the breakfast is the YUMMIEST and experience is the best. It is reasonably priced in comparison to its neighbor USHA ASCOT which has sky rocketing prices and the service is YUCKS, still I have seen some nerds who prefer Usha Ascot maybe they want to spend money just for the sake of it, whereas BYKE has excellent surrounding, beautiful pool, garden, ample pool space with swings, slides, pool table, lawn tennis, table tennis, basket ball, water games, massage, jacuzzi, carrom, chess, ice cream parlour, beauty parlour, utility shop, bar, mocktail bar, massage, steam, sauna etc. More » « Hide

Hi, I m a regular to Mahabaleshwar and have stayed in 80% of the good hotels there, Valley View... .. Hi, I m a regular to Mahabaleshwar and have stayed in 80% of the good hotels there, Valley View is my favorite in it because despite being in the market which I generally prefer if I get bored, it offers excellent food and service, the staff is courteous and they have facilities like Pool, Table Tennis, Indoor Swimming Pool, Massage, Jacuzzi & a utility shop, though the location is not good but the hotel indeed is... remember to choose only the super deluxe rooms though a bit expensive but are worth it, the deluxe rooms are good but offer a very bad view from the windows, even if you get super deluxe rooms dont take it very down as you will have to walk quite down to reach your room and there are chances you may come across some flies or insects from their adjacent garden ( I had a eeeerie experience of a multi legged 4 inch reptile of black and red color on my hand) so...make sure abt that.
