Eminently recommendable!! Far removed from the normal tourist beat, around 6 kms from Jowai town... .. Eminently recommendable!! Far removed from the normal tourist beat, around 6 kms from Jowai town on the Shillong-Silchar highway, this place is right opposite the Thadlaskien lake. Really nice place to stay for a couple of days for exploring the Jaintia hills - especially the Nartiang monoliths, the incomparable Tyrshi falls, and the route to Dawki via Thlumuwi, Jarain and Amlaren. Just about 5 mins walking distance from the Police Bazaar crossing at the center of the town, it is still sheltered from the hustle of this crowded, bustling town. Set well back from the main road in its own large compounds flanking the Ward\'s Lake, it has been fashioned to be a nice place to spend a few days with the family. More » « Hide
