The hotel is located on Lighthouse Beach and is very clean & hygienic. Breakfast was served in... .. The hotel is located on Lighthouse Beach and is very clean & hygienic. Breakfast was served in the room as per the booking package. However, there is no room service facility, and one has to go out to the nearby eating places along the beach foothpath for having meals, etc. These eating places are very very expensive and full of pestering touts roping in customers. The overall experience with the hotel was very good, except that smiling faces were missing in the reception. More » « Hide

The premises was quite wide and airy. The room and particularly the toilet was quite big and... .. The premises was quite wide and airy. The room and particularly the toilet was quite big and spacious (in respect of Room No 10 in the first floor where we stayed). The carpet was however not so clean and needed replacement. We didn\'t feel like staying in a hotel, it was like a Maharaja\'s guest house. One thing good is that the room service waiters and other staff are NOT the sly type who talk too much with the guests in the hope of getting tips. As regards the food, continental & chinese stuff was fine but Indian food was not up to the mark. For God\'s sake, never order for Chicken Stew, it was a terrible preparation. More » « Hide

Decent civilized people, disciplined police, no unruly taxi drivers, neat and tidy streets,..... Decent civilized people, disciplined police, no unruly taxi drivers, neat and tidy streets, excellent traffic management, cool temperatures, many scenic locations, high humidity and rainfall, westernized music and culture, good accommodation but costly food.
