As a history teacher my basic objective of visiting the historical sites and reliving the past..... As a history teacher my basic objective of visiting the historical sites and reliving the past was completely satisfied along with taking in the modern city. Well laid out roads and good flow of traffic in spite of the huge number of vehicles was surprising especially since traffic jams are an everyday affair for us in Bengal.There were congested parts also in pockets but that added to the reality of city life. How can one expect a market area not to be congested. On the whole the ambience was good. More » « Hide

I was worried due to delay in arrival but got a very positive response when I contacted the... .. I was worried due to delay in arrival but got a very positive response when I contacted the hotel.At the hotel we were immediately checked in and handed over the room keys.Then a 5 minute struggle ensued to locate the card and get the door to open.My husband desperately took the lift down and voila the door opened.There was the tea and coffee waiting to be made and the TV ready to be switched on.after that there was no trouble except in finding a floor boy when required.
