Getting there: Mumbai to Neral. Neral lies at the foot of the hills. From here you board a taxi which takes you to the point ahead of which no vehicles are allowed. If you're lucky, you can board the toy tarin. and if you're luckier, you get to trek! On your way, you see monkeys and horses. You could also do horse riding till you reach the top. Once you reach the main market, you will see several eat outs and restaurants. The place we stayed at (Dont remember the name), was a huge one, and we booked it for Rs 100 per head per day! More » |
