Indian Railways have come up with an interesting offer for its ever-growing travel community. Railways are now going hitech with satellite-based internet facility in premier trains. RailTel Corporation of India Limited, an undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is coming up with internet and other related facilities to create a nation wide Broadband Telecom and Multimedia Network.
With this, travelers will be able to enjoy the train journey and not worry about any urgent communication with home or office (?!!) and get entertained while on a long journey.

Soon premier trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi will have internet facilities with its various features. A trial run in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express is underway.
Railways will soon have uninterrupted Internet entertainment Services throughout its journey on all routes provided by the Internet Service Provider Railtel.
