On a train schedule, sudden changes like delay on arrival or change of date written down and the passengers are notified. Log on to indianrail.gov.in/train_Schedule.html, enter your railway number or name and click on the tab saying 'Get Schedule'. Route Number, arrival time, departure time, halt time, distance (in km) and number of days will be detailed in the table.
Check seat availability
Go to indianrail.gov.in/seat_Avail.html, enter either train number, journey date, source station code, destination station code, class of seating or quota type in the corresponding boxes and click on the tab 'Get Availability' to check if a seat of choice is available.
