3 A/C coach is very much congested. If some people come who doesn't understand then you have sleep whole day, you can't seat as very less space available. Food is pathetic. They will serve same items in lunch and dinner. Soup, snacks and Ice cream were good.
Duronto for Nizamuddin suits best to save time and money. Train reaches Delhi by 7 in the morning and one can go to ISBT bus to Chandigarh for a night halt to rest and refit. Next day, take the bus to Kulu-Manali amid you are there comfortably by early evening. Stay in mid- budget hotel and enjoy the Solang Valley adventure sports and roam around Manali town for sights and dinner.
Tie up to hire taxi for next day early morning, 5 hours arduous drive to Kaza sub-division winding over famous 13000 feet Rohtang Pass. Do not exert physically on top at pass since this could invite breathing trouble. The route thereafter is spectacular and treacherous along Spiti River.
Kaza is small yet active town with countable hamlets, police post and some government offices. Two days of local indulgence, meals with an odd local inhabitant and loitering around to visit notable buddhist monastery and gompas does rejuvenate tourist. People here are simple and still largely detached from material life. Business picks up during July to October due to road connectivity and bearable temperature.
