The train got late reached Delhi at 7.00 am. By that time Himalayan queen left. Many of us missed the train. Then we made a group and hired a taxi upto Interstate Bus stand. Being late AC buses were left. But we were fortunate to get the state bus. Upto Chandigarh the journey was ok. But from Chandigarh to Shimla being hilly and lot of curves felt nausea and vomiting tendency.
People if your are travelling from Bhubaneswar to Delhi then please please doesn’t opt for Purushottam Express. I had booked 2 AC but the standard maintained was worst than a sleeper class. Food quality was below average. Bedding was terrible and horrific. Toilets are un-hygienic and the train reached the destination 3 hours late from the time of schedule and we had to literally rush to the airport to catch our connecting flight to Srinagar.
The train named Purusottam Express is the best for reaching Puri. We were boarding from `Kharagpur Junction at 10.30 pm and reached Puri the next day on 5.00 am in the morning. We had third AC ticket in Rs. 615/- each. We carried the food for night. But the train service was very good. They gave us towel, pillow and bedsheet(two in no) each and those were well cleaned. The AC temperature was comfortable.
We reserved third AC seats a month before our journey. Train was three hour late from its scheduled time. Not a very good train experience but the view outside the train was good. Saw Kharagpur Railways Station in the middle of the journey. Was too tired in the journey.
Travelling by train is excellent. In AC coach, no body to disturb you. Pantry was also available. Train was very fast and stopped in very few station. Over all it was a good train to travel to Varanashi. Only the train that goes to Mughalsarai instead of Varanashi, from where you have to do other arrangement to reach at Varanashi
From Bhubaneshwar I boarded a train to new Delhi and from there we went to Swai Madhopur railway station; from that railway station we went to our destination by a Gypsy sent by the manager. The time taken from Delhi to Madopur station was hardly 3 hour, and the journey was a pleasant one.
