Overall experience was good. Catering wasn't nice. IRCTC caterers didn't serve us the fresh non veg food. But the veg food was nice. Regarding sanitation the cleanliness was OK. The train has charging point everywhere. The best thing is this train makes you reach your destination on time. Regarding health issues climate in Patna is totally different. I recently visited there is cold. So remember to pack your clothes according to the season and weather. Bihari's would look some weired but they are nice helpful. Overall nice experience and learnt Buddhism lessons in Bodh Gaya.
I had a very pleasant journey by this train and its schedule pretty often. Since this train is a superfast, the running speed was good. My travel time was around 30 hours, but I enjoyed a lot in 3 AC compartment. The pantry and other basic facility on board were quite satisfactory. Following are some points for and against the journey/train.
For:- 1) Train runs on time, so you will have a good time. 2) Train was quite long; sometimes compartments are additional added specially during the festivals. 3) This train had a good panty service and you can get different types of dishes, snacks and drinks. 4) During rainy season, you will have very beautiful view of different places enroute. 5) Train running speed was very good at night time.
Against:- 1) Train is overcrowded with waiting passengers, during Holi/Diwali. 2) Toilets are not very clean and sometimes it was stinking.
Well, to start with, I had a pretty good journey by this train. The train was very punctual or say in other word this train is by far the most punctual train of the route. Because this is a superfast train, the running speed is quite impressive. My travel was almost for about 30 hours, the facilities and main highlights can be summed up as below.
Pros:- 1) Train usually runs on time. 2) Train is very large and has 20+ bogies. 3) This train has good pantry service. 4) You get to see serene natural beauties when it enters into Maharashtra. 5) Train running speed is very good especially at night time.
Cons :- 1) Train is overcrowded with waiting list passengers, especially during festive seasons. 2) Toilets are not upto the mark. 3) Water can run out in tanks and could not be less than a nightmare. 4) You may have to face Hijra at some railway stations in-between; I paid 30-40 Rs. But when I reached my destination, I was very happy. Also itís important to note that Mumbai CST is very huge railway station.
Overall good experience. The train was on time and there was a pantry car facility in the train too. We enjoyed the food arrangement through the entire journey. The train stopped on all important stations, and reached at Manmad exactly in the right time. The platform at Shirdi is very well maintained; it's neat and clean. Coolies were available for carrying luggage. Hence the journey was pleasant.
Train travel was good and I reached on time; travelling in AC 2 was fairly comfortable and the train running on schedule was a matter of great relief. The maintenance of the coach was very poor, bedroll was not clean and certainly not up to the mark; pantry service also very poor. The cleaning of toilets and coaches were also not looked into. It was simply horrible.
