I like train journey thatís why I chose train. This train was running everyday and you can also find seats easily. The best thing in this train was the cleaning and food. The train staff were also very helpful.

I started my journey from Mangalore to Bangalore with my friends and we were 12 plus members. First when we entered the station we could not understand which is our train then T.C helped us to find our train and we ran into it then we started journey in train. It was in the night and we enjoyed the journey. The entire night we spent chatting and making fun. The food that was provided was good, and tasty.

Dose not matter until you've a particular destination. We travelled in sleeper class and its maintenance was good. Of course it could have provided a great view, but unfortunately we travelled at night. Wash rooms were also maintained well. The real annoying thing is that those guards will keep on annoying you until you wont sleep.

Hi friends! I want a share a wonderful experience of my life. Train journey between Bangalore and Mangalore. The train leaves Bangalore at about 7.30am every alternate days (Mon, Wed, Fri) and passes through many places like Tumkur, Arasikere, Hassan, Sakaleshpur, Kukke Subrahmanya etc. to reach Mangalore at about 5.30pm; but after Sakaleshpur, begins the most amazing part of the journey. The segment on the railway track from Sakaleshpura to Kukke Subramanya Road station is unique because of the dense green forest in which it is situated. This stretch of the track with length about 52 km has around 50 tunnels and bridges with length varying from few meters to 0.75 km and height varying from few meters to 200 meters. It is an engineering marvel and hard to imagine how they have managed to lay the railway track in such an environment. It is the Green Route often called the trekker's paradise. This is one of the most picturesque routes in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. Not only bridges and tunnels, but we also saw a number of waterfalls on either side especially when travelled in the months of July, August and September. If you are lucky, you can get a splash from those falls. The clouds that are trapped between mountains, tall trees, mountains, flowers, etc. are a treat for all nature lovers. So friends please plan a trip with the family and enjoy the unique journey....Travel by second class and not A/C to get the wonderful experience of nature....Preferred time of travel is between July and October. Happy journey!!!

Journey was good but the train came a little late just about 10 minutes but itís ok. Food served in the train was not that much of quality, so bring your own food if possible. So if you want to travel from Bangalore to Mangalore, with no hurry, then I suggest you to better go by train with sleeper coach. You can get confirmed tickets if you book it 3-4 days before the journey. It worked atleast for me. I started my journey at 8 pm in the morning and reached Mangalore by 8.30 am.
