Presenting to people my trip report of Patna-Bhopal trip, I made some two weeks ago. Got booking done two months in advance. Left my workplace and reached Patna Railway Station some 35 min in advance. Believe me the atmosphere inside Patna Railway Station is just amazing and cannot be explained in words. You got to be there to feel it.

After spending some good time feeling the atmosphere of Patna, went to Platform 3 from where Patna Indore Express usually departs. Patna-Mumbai Express was on Platform 1 after completing its journey from Mumbai to Patna. I was overwhelmed after witnessing that rake was consisting of 2013 and 2014 made coaches. Soon moved towards my 2014 manufactured Coach B2. Allotted berth to me 48, SU.

Bang on time MGS WDM3D blew its horn and train departed. After clearing all the loops, train got into its grove and accelerated from Danapur onward. Mughalsarai. IN route Stations were all dusted at MPS. The loco was going berserk and speed was just awesome. The fast local and other express trains were crossing at very high speed.

Soon after a brief halt at Mughalsarai, we left to Varanasi and believe me the run was fantastic. Meanwhile I roamed in the train and all the toilets and wash basin were super clean. Even all the coaches I visited were very well-maintained, all charging points were functional. We crossed some 2-3 Express trains at good speed.

The awesome came to a sudden halt just before Kashi, where it started crawling and soon I realized after reaching Varansi that a freight led by TKD based WAG7 was ahead of it. We entered Varanasi some 3-5 minutes late. Later on the train ran good up-to Lucknow and speed was good. I decided to take the nap. Went and took the pillows, bed sheets and stuffs.

In morning when I woke, the train had left Orai. Got freshen in super clean, dry and well-maintained toilets and basins. The train was running at a very good speed. The result of this awesome run was we reached Jhasi 10 min before time. We were stationed in Platform 1. Took tea, believe me they were tasty and they serve it on nice disposable plates.

Now starts the second phase of this journey. Dismal phase!

Train ran good thereafter got a view of Babina Cantt based air force Station as well. The train was looped twice because of freight blocking the main line. Small station like Nature cure hospital were passed at good speed. Soon we entered Bhopal Junction and I got off the train.

Overall, a good experience. My ratings are as follows:

Punctuality - 7/10.

Speed - 7/10, was disappointing after Wadi.

Cleanliness - 9/10, impressed by the way CR maintains this train. Clean and dry toilets, bed-sheets, floors, berths, washbasins.

Behaviour of on-board staff - 9/10, Has no PC so quality of food cant be taken in consideration. Staff are very helpful.

Facilities in coaches - 9/10, Chargers were working, taps were working (Had proper water supply), all lights, fans, A/C, passage light was working.

It is a long journey passing areas like Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhanshi then finally reached Bhopal. It was a long journey but not boring at all as all the occupants in my coach were travelling to Bhopal. Some were also students who studied there as they gave us good knowledge about Bhopal and their nearby locations.

During my Engineering days I have many friends in my class. But one of them was Rohit who was from Patna (bihar). He was the most intelligent boy of our class. He invited me to attend his sister's marriage in march 2015. As I have never visited to Bihar so I accepted his offer. Since, the marriage was in the second week of march so I asked my friend to suggest the train.

He advised me to board the Patna-Indore Express(19313) which runs bi-weekly (wednesday and saturday). I took a confirmed reserved ticket of that train a week before the ceremony. As I have heard a lot about that train it gave the same pleasure as expected. I booked that train on 10th of march 2015. As the train has its starting from indore so it arrived Bhopal station at 6:45 pm. The train was well furnished, clean and a light fragrance was soothing my mind. As I entered the train in my bogie I found my seat in a well and neat position. During night I asked the pantry car to have some dinner for me. That was a well-prepared and delicious food. I took a deep breathe after my meal and slept for the whole night peacefully.

In the morning the view of outside the train was awesome. It was passing through tunnels and bridges. After arriving at Allahabad station I asked a vendor for Vada pav and tea.

Then I went to the toilets, they were neat and clean. During my entire journey I was in a company of a business person who was also travelling to Bihar. He gave me much knowledge of the places passing- by. I enjoyed my ride through this train.

Finally I arrived at Patna Station at 4:30 pm where my friend rohit was waiting for me at the station. Then we went together to his house and enjoyed the Party.
