"Good experience"

ranthambore, i had known ws the best place to sight the RBT. though we didn't get to sight one, it was a wonderful experience of deep dense forests. after the lazy forests of kaziranga & gir, this ws quite different. the property we chose after lot of deliberations, eventually turned out to be the best bet. it was ideally located, not too far from the forest entries. nor does it matter, since most properties are around & the safari vehicles come to your door step for pickup & drop. the hotel is a large, real large expanse of serene property. the rooms were quite large & even outdoors was quite spaced out, with large patches of lawns & outdoor activities the order of the day. the swimming pool ws good, our kids had a great time in the pool as well as playing a game of cricket & football. wish we were there for a couple of more days to enjoy the weather, which ws quite a relief from that of city life.

Best Experience: we really miss the cultures of the various regions of our country living in big cities. the daily evening local folk songs & dance allowed us to unwind & our kids to experience real india, though only a part of it. as it also helps the local/regional arts to remain & sustain. though we didn't get to see any of the feline species, we loved the variety of birds that we got to see. especially the safari on gypsy vehicles ws quite good, since we had the guides to ourselves & they would take us to the right spots. it was brilliant

Worst Experience: none really

"Nice experience, needs more activities"

overall it is a good resort to stay. It would be much better if you book it directly rather booking throgh tour agents.

Best Experience: Evening Tea and folk dance i liked very much but more activities need to be arrange by management

Worst Experience: No

"Fantastic Family Friendly Hotel. I..."

  • Posted Aug 24, 2011
Fantastic Family Friendly Hotel. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my spouse & kids. I was quite impressed with the lawns and greenery inside the resort in a quite dry place like Ranthambore. A lovely, comfortable place which my kids too enjoyed. The food was quite good and the service excellent. The room decor was comfortable and the bathroom was large.

Best Experience: We could not able to see tigers inspite of two safari trips but we never felt sad due to comfortness & greenery of this hotel. I cannot think staying in any other hotel except Ranthambore Forest Resort whenever I will visit Ranthambore.

"about 29 of us started..."

  • Posted Jan 3, 2011
about 29 of us started from delhi for ranthambhore at night - around 11 pm in VOLVO bus - it was smooth drive all the way and v reached the resort - WELCOME HERITAGE RANTHAMBHORE FOREST RESORT at about 10.30 am in the morning - went for an after noon safari and then relaxed at the resort in the evening - next day morning also went for safari and enjoyed a lot - the atmosphere was great - it was chilling cold on 31st december morning - but it was an experience in itself - missed out on tiger sighting but overall a good safari - came back to resort - it was nice sunny day - had breakfast - played cricket in the front grounds - kids and ladies were playing badminton in other ground - after playing cricket - we had beer and all - and then went for a swim in the pool - imagine on 31st december doing swimming in north india - just bcoz we played serious cricket so everyone was swetting - fun game - after that had lunch - went out to see RANTHAMBHORE FORT and GANESHJI TEMPLE - both were beautiful and worth seeing - time was short as it got dark- went back to resort for the new year eve celebration !!! it was a fun trip all the way - everyone enjoyed

Best Experience: playing cricket - in the cricket ground - kids took their golf sets - played golf by fixing the T and hitting the plastic balls - played with BOOMBERANG - badminton - and carrom etc - did swimming and all- it was fun all the way

Worst Experience: hot water was a problem in the resort - they don\'t hv geasers - they hv boilers and it takes lot of time for water to heat - so much of wastage of water is there- you hv to keep the tap open for 10 minutes to get the hot water started - also the rooms doesn\'t hv system of automatic light switch off - the rooms have lock and key system - restaurant is good - but they sometimes use the prepartions left over in lucnh for the dinner also but making some changes - gravy remains the same not much of innovatives in the cuisine. for eggs made to order - we had ask them and then only they did that otherwise they were serving only boiled and scarramled eggs. overall - food quality was ok -
