Nagarhole food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Food, as with any of the Mysorian towns is an experience in itself. The traditional dishes of the Kadukurumba tribes, the original inhabitants of this area, are a must taste, while here. Having said that, the eateries are mostly the restaurants of the various resorts lining the country side here, of different sizes and shapes to suit one's budget. If you are a bit adventerous, especially with your stomach, you could possibly stop of one of the village hotels to have an authetic taste.
Apart from wildlife, there is very little in terms of other sight seeing options. However, a drive to Coorg, Medikeri, Tibetian Settlement etc, all within a 100 KM's periphery are other attractions

Jungle Inn is located on the northern fringe of the 643 sq. km Nagarhole National Park. This park, also known as the Rajiv Gandhi National Park is part of the larger Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, which also contains the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary in Karnataka, the Mudumalai National Park in Tamilnadu and the Wynad Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala. 68 km from Mysore, this resort, spread over 5 acres, has cottages with 7 private rooms and 3 dormitories. It also offers tented accommodation.

Jungle Inn has cottages with 7 private rooms and 3 dormitories and can house 38 people in all. All the rooms have attached bathrooms and each dormitory has two attached bathrooms. The resort also offers guests the experience of staying in tented facility within their premises. The ‘Gudara’ restaurant serves up Indian & European food (veg & non-veg). The inn provides activities including wildlife drives, camping, trekking, tribal dance performance, visit to a coffee plantation as well as a Tibetan monastery and a ride in a coracle. Amenities include Laundry, restaurant, and doctor on call.
