Devigarh Fort Palace By Sald, Mumbai

“Devigarh really defines luxury, royalty and opulence. The palace hotel has some fantastic suites with wonderful interiors all done up in marble. Our room had a balcony with a great view of the Aravali ranges. The bathrooms are as large as the rooms and again all in marble. There is even a marble bathtub and a separate shower area. The food is very good, with choices in local Rajasthani dishes as well as other Indian and Continental cuisine.

Best Experience:

The evening candle lit dinner, with complimentary champagne, specially organised for us was the highlight of our stay.”

Nachana Haveli, Jaisalmer By Nandita, Delhi

“The rooms were fantastic, like out of a fairytale. The hosts were warm and friendly The atmosphere was incredibly romantic. The view of the fort from the roof was amazing. The restaurant was good and the staff was helpful and friendly. I only wish the haveli was inside the Jaisalmer fort!!!

Best Experience:

1. My first view of the incredibly romantic rooms especially the fabulous four poster bed with overhanging net curtains!!

2. Watching the fort lit up just after dusk from the terrace. This spectacular view lasts only for an hour or so and is magical.”

  Honeymoon Cruise By Atul, Pune

“I went on a honeymoon cruise aboard the Libra. The route was Mumbai-Lakshadweep-Goa-Mumbai. Lakhadweep is a great place to visit with its beautiful untouched beaches and white sand, and we enjoyed every moment of it. We spent the entire day on Kadmat Island. There is only one attraction there - the beautiful beach and the shallow coral lagoon!

We took the full activity package provided by Superstar Libra. It cost around Rs 3500 per head. The package included scuba diving, banana boat ride and glass bottom boat ride. I feel it was a good deal. We enjoyed all of these activities.”

Unparalled Beauty By Gurpreet, Bangalore

“Lakshdweep is the ultimate holiday. The natural beauty is unparalled - endless white beaches; crystal clear waters that range from emerald to every shade of blue; amazing marine life - giant turtles, colorful clams, fish in every color and shape; and the coral reef that is a virtual fairy tale experience.

There is so much to do that it makes you forget the hectic life you lead. Wade in for almost half a km during low tide, or go scuba diving to see the coral reef. Other activities you can try are snorkeling, glass bottomed boat, kayaking, water scooters, or a simple boat ride to go lagoon fishing.”

Manali in February By Aniruddha, Kolkata

“Manali in the month of February is a sleepy town full of snow. Dazzling snow clad mountains and bright sunny days will give you maximum pleasure. We visited Rohtang Pass, Vashisht hot springs, Manu temple, Hadimba temple, Manali club house, Nagar Castle and Gayatri Temple. Food is good. Everything from Indian, Chinese and local foods are available.”
....................................................................................

“Ideal place for honeymooners, the scenic surroundings and the wonderful river reminds you of old Hindi movie scenes. Rohtang pass is a great place. Enjoy sliding on ice at Rohtang. Board a Volvo from Delhi ISBT; bus fare-around is Rs 800. If you can afford it, take a taxi.”

Best Experiences of Manali By Ketan, Chennai

1. The sight of the snow capped mountains all around us.

2. The sound of the river gushing nearby, while sipping hot-chocolate at Cafe River Music.

3. The crisp air at Rohtang Pass.

4. The absolutely divine feeling at Manikaran gurudwara. The hot water spring, the Langar etc...

5. The serenity and quietness while sipping chai at the Cafe Brook Song Flower Garden. This is a must-see (Directions: Take the road towards Naggar, past Sterling Resort and drive on for about 40 mins along the orchards!)

6. Above all...waking up each morning to see the snow-capped mountains right from your bed !!

Ideal for Couples by Deepak, Bangalore

“Kodaikanal is a really beautiful place... ideal for honeymoon couples. I still cherish the memories that I’ll never forget...and I mean it. I liked the pleasant weather a lot... my stay was for 2 days 1 night only, which was just not sufficient ... I of course wanted to stay more.

If you take a cab, it will take around 3 hours for total sightseeing. But just roaming there would be a good fun too. You can do a little shopping also, like chocolates, and different variety of herbal oils etc, which are a specialty there. I also bought a very beautiful piece of art – a Kathakali dancer made of paper, available from a government shop from the local market.”

Things to do and see By Jayashree, Chennai

Kodaikanal has a whole lot of scenic view points, a huge star shaped lake, parks, waterfalls, and a forest area. Lazy morning walks, and spending time around the lake in the evenings are heavenly. Among sight-seeing spots are Green Valley View, Pillar Rock, Guna Caves, Pine Forest, Shanti Valley View and Upper Lake View. This can be covered in a day in around 4 to 5 hours. Bryant Park, Chettiar Park, Bear Shola Falls, Kurinji Andavar Temple, churches, can be clubbed in another day’s excursion.

Nearby picnic spots are Berijam Lake or Mannavanur. Dolphins Nose/Echo Point, Lion Cave/Pambhar Falls are places ideal for trekking.
