Performing Arts Centres there are several auditoriums in Delhi where you can watch dance, music and drama performances by top-most artistes from India. These are Sriram Centre, Kamani Auditorium, Hamsadhwani Theatre, Siri Fort Auditorium and India Habitat Centre.

Food Capital of the Nation - you can sample anything from Kashmiri to Malabari, to Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Mediterranean and Italian food at the restaurants of New Delhi. Not only are there several cuisines to choose from, the food is by-and-large pretty good too, though some of the international restaurants can be a little heavy on the wallet. Some famous budget eateries are Andhra Bhavan Canteen, Karim's, Sagar Ratna and Pandara Road complex, among several others. International chains, such as McDonald's, Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Subway, are dotted all across the city. Do try Delhi's famous street foodchaat, samosas, jalebis, and the like.
Shopping - for a real, Delhi shopping experience, head out to Chandni Chowk or Sadar Bazaar in Old Delhi but be prepared for plenty of crowds and chaos. The trendier markets are at Greater Kailash, South Extension, HauzKhasVillage, and Connaught Place. For arty and ethnic stuff visit Cottage Emporium on Janpath and the various state emporia on Baba Kharak Singh Marg. Dilli Haat in south Delhi has stalls of both handicrafts and regional food. Popular street markets include Janpath, just off Connaught Place, and Sarojini Nagar Market, in central-south Delhi. The latest shopping sensation is the enormous malls that have come up in Gurgaon where you can check out all the swanky brands and latest fashions.
Nightlife - Delhi has a thriving nightlife, though it is not one of the safest places for women to go out unescorted after dark. Swanky and plush lounge bars, hip discotheques and crowded pubs dot the city and its suburbs, Gurgaon and Noida. Lounge bars and discotheques usually restrict entry to couples. Most of these establishments close by 1am, with the exception of those in five-star hotels which are allowed to remain open longer.
