Goa, the most famous tourism destination of India, draws people like a magnet. Its sunny beaches, green countryside, colourful song and dance, and great seafood and wine, make Goa tourism an experience that people go back to over and over again. A string of beaches dot the coastline, with some that are crowded and happening, like Calangute, Baga, Colva and Anjuna; to others that are secluded like Palolem, Mandrem and Vagator. Goa is also steeped in culture with its magnificent churches declared as a World Heritage site; and a number of ancient Hindu temples from the past. The Portuguese heritage can be seen in its grand colonial mansions; while there are other outdoor activities such as visits to wildlife sanctuaries.
