The only hill-station of the state, this pretty town is situated on the Chhotanagpur Hills and is surrounded by virgin forest. It is off the Ranchi-Hazaribagh Highway and is a popular local getaway in the hot summers. You can go for invigorating walks, picnic at the BurhagaFalls, and catch beautiful sunsets at Magnolia Point. There are many old colonial bungalows and some boarding schools here.
