Ward Lake - this area around Shillong's main lake has lovely colonial bungalows, churches, gardens and wooded walks.

this is the crowded bustling marketplace that has the main shopping
centres, Tibetan restaurants and many interesting local handicrafts and
woolen stalls.

State Museum - visit this state museum to see an interesting display of tribal costumes and folk art.

Lady Hydari Park - this beautiful landscaped park also has a mini-zoo, deer park, and forestry museum.

Anglican cemetery -
take a walk in this pleasant churchyard surrounded by pine trees to see
many interesting graves of former British residents and soldiers killed
in war.
