Somnath Diu Tour
Overview of the destination
Overall opinion is fantastic. Tour was very much of celebration and pure fun with religious touch too. Somnath is a place of temple of lord Shiva (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas). Temple has an amazing classic art in itself with roaring Arabian sea in front of the temple. Wonderful thing is you can sit in the back side of the temple to watch Arabian sea. Temple's whole view and roaring sounds of sea are just awesome. Diu is the best destination for every age people and family. Diu has 5 beautiful beaches,. Nagoa and Ghogla are best of them. Nagoa is very nice, clean and safest beach in Diu. Nagoa has got2-3 resorts nearby and safe parking facility. You get variety of snacks, drinks, wine there. This well maintained and clean beach also has a cloth changing room and bathrooms at nominal charge. Boating and water sports, gliding also available at fair prices. Ghogla beach is just next to entrance gate of Diu territory. Ghogla is clean, safe and fine beach. But Ghogla beach dont have facility of food, drink and no parking.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Chinese, Punjabi and Gujarati Food is available at fair prices on Bunder road. 'Restaurent Apana' , I remember most for its food, drinks and quality. Hotel Prince is also good. Dont miss the air breeze at Chaupati in front of Ghogla Bus stand at evening time. For everybody fort of Diu is good destination. No climbing or tedious walking required for Diu fort. For shopping ' Foreign market' next to Police station is good for roadside shopping. Variety of imported cloths, perfumes, footwear, household fancy items and cosmetics are available.

Activities & things to do
On the beach: Activities like water sports, speed boating, gliding are possible.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Diu is 15 Km from Una, 500 Km from Baroda and 800 km from Bombay by road. Travelling by personal car would be the best, many luxury buses run from Mumbai and Ahmedabad
