GOd's Own Country
Overview of the destination
If a place really own by God, what it would be cherish with??? Kerala has got all.... rich golden beaches, misty hill stations, long silent back-waters, animals in nature, art forms like kathakali and kalaripayattu, wonderful people …. What’s remaining??? It was really week of rejuvenating a life… Wonderful experience… Visited in August last week. Perhaps best time.. to see most greenery, just finishing rainy season.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Konkan Railway: what a way to start!!! It is worth visit friends, in day time precisely. Amazing view of western ghat hills. Cochin: Amazing stay.. Over satisfied with hotel (The Mercy). Grt sightseeing like St. Francis church, Fort Kochi, Chinese fishing nets, Vasco d gama square, Cherai beach, Hill palace museum Munnar: Blackberry Hills, Tea valley Resort. Both are very good. Tea gardens make it feels like heaven. Greenery everywhere. Do visit Eravikulam national park, if you don’t see “Tahrs”, u certainly will have breath taking hill view. Anamudi is the highest peak in Kerala. Tea Museum is also nice attraction. Just relax in Munnar, have a spa and massage.. its beautiful to relax, isn’t it?

Activities & things to do
Thekkady: Best hotel by far – Wild corridor. Right in the centre of forest. Wake up with the alarm of bird singing in your gallery. I actually spotted 2 unknown species to me. Have a wild life look in periyar wild life by boat. Take 4:30 ride in evening if possible.. that’s when animals come out for water and best time you can spot them. I encountered with Wild pig, Wild buffalo, Deer, Sambar, vast variety of birds, specially 1 bright blue colour.. might be Kingfisher, and not to forget, wild elephant.. You also can take a jeep safari for the forest for minimal cost Allepy: Back-Waters…. Amazing night stay on house-boat.. its worth taking friends. Just relax with water all around you with coconut in hand and have authentic Keralian meal cooked by local chef. If possible, arrange a spa treatment on board. Kumarakom: Got out from house boat to get into floating hotel (Pristine Island)!!! Yeah, our cottage was actually floating.. full lake view right from your bed. Another wonderful experience. Nothing much to see in Kumarakom apart from Bird Sanctuary. But one place, not so famous, but worth visit is “Bay Island Driftwood museum”, run by single lady, Raji Punnoose. Its wonderful combination of imagination and art. A new way rightly.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Take care with your tour guide/driver. They might take to only places where they can get commisions. Have a map in hand and have a good research before going. mislead can get worse in Spa treatment and massage. English is widely spoken but local language is surely handy. Have a local driver
