Delhi | 10th July 2008 | | Goa - Enjoy it on a bike | Overview of the destination
Me and my wife visited Goa for the first time this June. We reached Goa in the morning and our resort, in South Goa, was accommodating enough to allow was a check-in at 7 am.
After refreshing we went straight to the Utorda Beach which was right in front of our resort. It was our first experience of a beach. We had a long walk and had lunch at the beach shack, which was open by luck as all other shacks were closed due to monsoon.
We followed the same routine in the evening as the weather was beautiful with clouds all over and cool breeze blowing.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Next day we went to Colva Beach and Madgao market were you can buy good quality cashew nuts.
On the third day we took a bike on rent and started early to explore Goa.
Because of the rains Goa was completely green. We first visited BITS, Pilani's Goa Campus and then went to Dona Paula. The semi hilly roads full of flora and fauna on both the sides looked amazing as compared to jam packed roads of Delhi.
We visited Colungute & Baga Beaches followed by Fort Aguada.
Colungute and Baga Beach are full of life with loads of people, restaurants and shops selling shells etc. This is the place to be if you want to enjoy life Goa is known for.
We then visited the Old Goa Church followed by Mangushi and Shantadurga temples. Activities & things to do
Bike is the best mode to explore Goa. It is cheap, adventures, convenient, fun and I surely enjoyed it. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
