Overview of the destination Goa has a little bit of everything, both for the extrovert as well as the introvert. With its exquisite mix of sun, surf and beaches, Goa has become the ultimate tourist destination. Being India?s beach capital, it has a tropical climate with balmy weather for much of the year.Food, sight-seeing and shopping There are many restaurants offering the famous Goan and all types of cuisines like Kentuckee, Plantain Leaf, Banyan Tree in Panjim, Fiesta, Shalom Med at Miramar Beach, Turkish Grill at Arpora and many more. Activities & things to do Goa has become the perfect place for water spots with its beautiful beaches like:
Arambol- Keri: If you fancy a walk, you can carry on beyond the lake. The 10km path from Arambol meanders over the hillside, eventually ending at the casuarinas- fringed Keri Beach. It offers you Dolphin- spotting trips, wind surfing, sand speed sailing, paragliding and kite surfing. You can also enjoy the Keri ferry ride to the Tiracol Fort, which has now metamorphosed, into a resort.
Mandrem Beach: If you want peace, solitude and relaxation, Mandrem-Morjim in Pernem is the perfect choice. All you get at Mandrem is dolphin spotting and crocodile-spotting trips. However if you can persuade a local fisherman to take you up the creek on his canoe it can be a pleasant experience.
Anjuna Beach: It offers restaurant along the beach offering bewildering eclectric mix of global cuisines. You can also view different shops and stalls making it a constant whirl of business beach. With all those rocks in the sea, water sports in Anjuna are limited to its southern end.
Calanguate Beach: It is known as the ? queen? of Goa?s beaches. It offers you more than dozen water spots like parasailing, water- skiing, windsurfing, island trips, fishing expeditions and river cruises.
Colva Beach: the glory of South Goa. Sand so clean that scattered shells could be a distraction. It is still unexplored therefore unexploited. It offers you dolphin-spotting, crocodile-spotting trips, parasailing and jet- skiing.
Goa also offers many historical places like Basilica de Born Jesus, Se Cathedral Church and Archaeological Museum where you could see historical artifacts. St. Augustine?s Tower, Convent, Viceroy?s Arch, Mount Carmel on a hilltop, Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception at Panaji. Anantha temple, which is half submerged in water, Mardol Temple and Ramnath Temple in Kavlem. Saligao Church, Church of Reis Magos at Verem, which is a fine sample of Gothic architecture.
