One of the most beautiful spots which otherwise are missed by most tourists are the Remedious Chapel near Majorda and Hollant Beach which one can see from the train when passing Sancoale Railway station. .. For shopping, the 'Goa' shirts & shorts, etc. available are the very very special items here, which one should take home as souvenirs as well as gifts for loved ones ... for hard shoppers there are the flea markets at Anjuna, and other beaches.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
By train, Madgaon, Karmali or Thivim lead to Madgaon / Vasco-da-Gama, Old Goa / Panaji and Mapusa respectively. The Dabolim is the only airport and is at the heart of the state and is at a distance of roughly 35 km from both Panaji and Madgaon. Try catching a flight or train which lands you in Goa during the day, travelling during night may not be very easy for you if you are new.
